AFCAT 2018: NOTIFICATION & EXAM DATE

For all the young fliers, the opportunity has come to get yourself enroll in the Indian Air Force. AFCAT 2018 examination will be held in February 2018 but the online submission application form will be available from December 2018. The AFCAT 2018 entrance examination is for the fliers and ground duty- technical and non-technical.

AFCAT 2018 is the direct opportunity for you if the Indian Air Force is your ultimate serving goal for the country. There are some pre-requisites for the candidates for how to prepare for the entrance examination. The AFCAT 2018 entrance examination will decide your future in the Indian Air Force, be it as a Flyer or Ground Duty serving candidate.

GDOC & Technical 20-26 yrs old (As on 1st January 2019) DOB should fall in between 02 January 1993-01 January 1999 (Both dates are inclusive)

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

For the branches, there are different educational qualifications which the candidate has to fulfill before the enrolment for the AFCAT 2018.

Flying

  • The applicant should have scored the minimum 60% in Mathematics and Physics subject, each, in 10+2. In the graduation as well, minimum score should be 60%.
  • If the applicant has B.Tech/B.E degree, the minimum score should be 60% and same score should be in Mathematics as well as Physics in 10+2.
  • The candidate who has passed the section A&B examination from the associate membership of institute engineers of India or Aeronautical Society from India from the recognized University, the score should be 60% or equivalent to it.

Ground Duty- Technical

  • The minimum educational qualification for this branch is 60% score in B.Tech with the specified fields/ subjects.

Ground Duty- Non-Technical

Following are the educational qualifications for the Non-Technical ground duty:

  • Accounts: Bachelors in Commerce with minimum score 60%
  • Administrative & Logistics: Graduation certificate with minimum score 60%
  • Education: Minimum required score is the 60% in graduation and 50% in the MBA/MCA or MA/M.Sc in any of the following subjects-

Mathematics

English

Physics

International Studies

International Relations

Defence Studies

Psychology

IT

Management

Statistics

Computer Science

Mass Communication

Journalism

Public Relation

For the candidate to serve permanently in these branches, the willingness, eligibility and the vacancies will be taken into consideration.

SELECTION PROCESS

For the AFCAT 2018, the entrance examination will be conducted in the offline mode at the already declared and mentioned examination centers.

1st Round

  • Screening test which consists verbal and non verbal reasoning and logical test as well as PPDT.
  • Once the candidate clears the 1st round, they will be proceeding to the 2nd The candidate, who will fail in the 1st round, will be sent back on the same day.

2nd Round

  • Here the candidate will have to give a psychological test, GTO and personal interview for five days.
  • The final result will be declared in the conference.
  • The selected candidate will proceed to the medical examination.

Forms will be available from December for the eligible and qualified candidates.

The AFCAT 2018 examination will initiate from the 25th February 2018 i.e. last Sunday of the month.
